A popular eatery in this busy Essex town succumbed to water damage that originated from an office two storeys above the property, resulting in temporary closure.

Acting as an authorised representative for the tenant, we inspected that the unit had been subjected to extensive flooding and exposure to unsanitary toilet water. Our assessor brought in a third party engineer to assess the damage to the restaurant’s expensive kitchen equipment and ensure all hygiene considerations were addressed during the repair phase.

After working with the client for a period of 5 months, Your Claim was able to agree a cash settlement which diverted much-needed money back into the company. We also calculated the perceived loss during the time of closure and generated a successful claim for business interruption with the client’s insurer.
